Guy our artisan and maker of all the woodwork, has spent his entire working life in The City, in an office environment, but was finding the lack of an “end product” increasingly frustrating. He has always enjoyed making things, and would spend much of his free time in his workshop at home creating. Following encouragement from family and friends, Penny for the Guy was officially established in 2018.

 

All of the boards are handmade in our workshop at home in Kent, using either reclaimed oak, or

oak offcuts from our local sawmill in Kent, making each piece entirely unique. 

 

Once made, every board is hand sealed with four coats of food safe protective oil, and finally finished off with two coats of food safe wax. As well as enhancing the gorgeous individual woodgrain of each piece, this ensures longevity, and reduces the need for any regular maintenance.
